Albanians from Medvedja are not stupid. They know that being transferred to a part of Serbia which the state does NOT have jurisdiction will likely lead to a decrease of their living standards. Serbia should invest heavily in the area and in time many Albanians from Kosovo will either leave for good or get past their nationalism and see that having high autonomy within Serbia is the BEST model of them going forward.

The reason why this is true is simply the Albos have left the region going back to the initial break up of Yugoslavia when thousands took up and went to the west. Since they threw away their passport/papers, as suggested by the then Germany's Foreign Minister Hans Dietrich Genscher because in his words Yugoslavia no longer existed and these documents were no longer valid, Albos could not be sent back as Serbia would not accept them without proper documentation.

The Austrian census of Kosovo in 1871 showed ethnic Serbs were 2/3 and Albanian and non-Serbs around 1/3.
But in 1907 it was reversed with Albanians 2/3.
So the Albanians from 1871 to 1907 were terrorizing ethnic Serbs out of the region.

Ok, but Kosovo in 1871 was reversed to Serbs 2/3 from Romans more than 2/3 about 1500 years ago. So, according to your logic, Serbs from about 1500 years ago to 1871 were terrorizing ethnic Romans out of the region. Kosovo's history did not start in 1871!
