Sorry mate, but the English Civil Wars of the 1600s were about politics (monarchy vs parliament). As with most wars, it was all to do with power and competing interests. Do you really believe that the SRB/CG issue is about religion? The differences in religious practice are minimal, and those between the languages even smaller.

Sounds like a replay of the same dynamics that were behind the Kosovo conflict. Except in this case, the more will resemble conflict in Yemen ( (same or similar ethnic and religious groups fighting each other) more closely and then what happened in Kosovo (where different ethnic andreligious groups fought each other). My impression of people living with in Montenegro is that they are not very religious, but many Montenegrins who identify with Servia will look at the Serbian Orthodox Church as a representation of their interests and identity, wether they are religious or not. The Montenegrin orthodox church will try to suppress this trend. The Montenegrin Civil War could very well start as an intra-religious war with in Orthodox community. Just like England in the 1600s were more radical Christians decided to reject the church of England, whom they felt were too influenced by the Roman Catholic Church, leading to civil war. If this transpires, we can expect the Albanian communities to jump ship, and Bosnian Muslims to try to meddle in Montenegrin affairs by promoting the Sandzak idea. Another Yemen. Brian Ghilliotti
