Ratko Mladic was born in Bozanovici, Kalinovik, Herzegovina, Bosnia in 1943.
Now if the US can help the Croats and to a lesser extent the Bosniaks why couldn’t Milosevic help the Serbs in Bosnia? What the US is allowed because they are the beacons of freedom and democracy?
However, technically Serbia never went to war with Croatia or Bosnia. The world does not give a f*** about the Balkans mate. If you are trying to peddle Croatia was a victim don’t because it was not. Serbia recently played a tape of Tudjman speaking with his Ustashi cronies how he was going to get rid of Serbs in Croatia and this was long before the war.

@ sj

"Technically, Serbia never went into Bosnia or Croatia; it was the locals that took up arms for fear of Ustashi and the Muslims."

Locals took up arms in the 1990s not the 1940s when the Ustashi actually existed. You are quick to note that it is 2018 not 1995 or 1999 but you have a bigger time problem, missing the difference between the 1940s and 1990s.

"However, if Serbia had gone into these two states it would have been legal since at that time they were still part of Yugoslavia and no laws were broken unlike the US of Piss and Wind giving the Croats the green light to send troops into an internationally recognized country of Bosnia."

So let me get this correct...Bosnia was an internationally recognized country but Croatia was not?

"...but Croats being Croats..."

Then who was Ratko Mladic? Not to mention the fact that Milosević was directly supporting the lot of these so called "locals".

The world knows the truth no matter how much you try to twist it or cover it up.

...you speak of “true communist” as if that is a good thing (which it isn’t) or even possible (which it isn’t) or true (which it isn’t).

Any one who is a ‘true communist’ (whatever that is) is typically killed by power hungry dictators (Stalin, Mao) and I would list Milosevic more alongside those two than alongside anyone with proper socialist intentions.

He was also a greedy person - stealing Serbs’ money and putting it in offshore banks in Cyprus for example. That’s a fairly typical illustration of what ‘true communism’ always turns out to be.

Tudjman was given the green light to send in 15 brigades to fight the Serbs and it is now known as the Washington Agreement.
The funny thing was the Croats stabbed the Bosniaks in the back thinking they would somehow cripple the Bosniaks, but Croats being Croats, who are only worthy adversaries with old men and women were beaten LOL. Now the Bosnaiks are ethnically cleansing Croats from the Federation part.

Milosevic wasn't a nationalist, he was surrounded by them but he wasn't one himself.
(Zoran)
in that case he was either very, very stupid and had no backbone at all or he wanted to use them to gain power and supported their wishes which makes him by his actions in my eyes a nationalist or at least a nationalist supporter again.
What I know is, that people that were against nationalism had a harsh time under his government in serbia. People who opposed him publicly in some cases even had to leave the country.

Yes, I do. He would have been taken very seriously because he was the one who did a lot of negotiations with the west and he knew the time, place and people involved. As I said the US of Piss and Wind gave Tudjman the green light to send in troops into Bosnia; it was 15 brigades.
It would not be that hard to find out if Milosevic was making it up. The US would not like that happening; remember mud always sticks and they could not wash it off. It goes to the very credibility of the US.
There is a difference between stirring things up against your opponent and disclosing facts that could be easily verified.

Why did they kill Milosevic? Normally you would think that putting him on trial to justify the west’s policy in the Balkans would be a sound idea until you realise that Milosevic know much, much more about what the west did and the type of deals they negotiated.
It would have been very embarrassing for any of this to come out in any trial. For example, it is only a recently disclosed that the US gave Franjo Tudgman the green light to send troops into Bosnia to fight the Serbs. Its know as the Washington Agreement.
Now imagine if all the other skulduggery came out during the trial and it was on permanent record. Not a nice look at all. It was easier to get rid of him.

So Milosevic was paranoid.

No surprise he thought that way. Paranoia against the West was something he used extensively to stir up nationalism to get votes.

"For example, it is only a recently disclosed that the US gave Franjo Tudgman the green light to send troops into Bosnia to fight the Serbs. Its know as the Washington Agreement. "

And who gave Serbia the green light to go into Bosnia and Croatia?

...you speak of “true communist” as if that is a good thing (which it isn’t) or even possible (which it isn’t) or true (which it isn’t).

Technically, Serbia never went into Bosnia or Croatia; it was the locals that took up arms for fear of Ustashi and the Muslims.

(sj, 13 August 2018 11:28)

Then who was Ratko Mladic? Not to mention the fact that Milosević was directly supporting the lot of these so called "locals".

The world knows the truth no matter how much you try to twist it or cover it up.
