Fantastic news to see such a large company finding Serbia such a stable and attractive investment environment. Mining is extremely capital intensive and Rio Tinto is one of the best and largest miners in the world. The economic benefits to Serbia including massive spin offs are exactly what the economy needs. This is really great news for Serbia and the local region where the Jadar deposit is located.

Lithium found in 2001 but mining to begin in 2014. Why so long? The Lithium belongs to the Serbian state and Rio Tinto will only share the profit and not keep it all. This could be a major boost to Serbia which probably explains why the NATO Brits are slow to exploit this valuable resource.

Why are we letting the Brits do this. Rio pretends to be Australian but it is really a uk company.
We should shut the uk out of Serbia completely.
