China's Hisense Electronic has secured ownership of 94 percent of shares in Slovenia's household appliances manufacturer Gorenje.

Here is how it will work out. For the next 2 to 3 years the new owners will keep things in Slovenia, but after that it will move its R&D to Serbia because Slovenia is "too expensive" since manufacturing is all in Serbia. The new owner will not shut down completely in Slovenia but it will be a far cry from its former operations.
