So BG is supposed to shrug off the theft of roughly 18% of her property
(Watcher, 29 June 2018 21:51)

Of course not, dear! BG, GB, XY or YZ or whoever should not shrug off the theft of 8%, 18%, 58% or any percent of his/her property, if and when that happens... Not sure why you ask such questions that have very obvious answers lol

@ beenfollowing things - That's true in every country, not just Srbija!
So BG is supposed to shrug off the theft of roughly 18% of her property for the sake of "moving on"? and when someones comes for Vojvodina, we'll just shrug that off too for the sake of "moving on"...lol.

Sorry dude, Defend your borders first while working in internal problems. THAT'S the solution. not appeasing the alligator...hoping you'll be eaten last!
No thanks!
(Watcher, 29 June 2018 21:51)

Serbia's situation is one of the worst in the world, but it doesn't have to be that way. If corruption and other things could be worked out, Serbia would be very interesting for foreigners - cheap food & living, good people and great nightlife. Take a look at Czech Republic - a lot of hard-working foreigners move there, population is growing with tax payers, not accepting migrants.

Nobody will come for Vojvodina - if someone will, it will be your fellow Serbs. Kosovo was 70-80 % Albanian and still they needed NATO to steal your land. Meanwhile Vojvodina is 60-70 % Serbian. So keep the Serb happy and you keep Vojvodina happy. And you keep the Serb happy by looking at the countries where Serbs move and learning from them.

Corruption, poverty, tobacco, alcohol, mental illness - leading to massive depopulation of your country! At this rate, Serbia will stop existing before the year 2300. Kosovo & Albanians are far too high up in your priority list...

Choose poverty - side with Russia. I'm told Russia's economy is about the same size as Austria's. Overall, Russians are not rich. Overall, EU citizens are rich.

Suppress the press - like in Russia. Having a dictator in charge means that people feel good because they are being lied to (until, that is, the people realise what's going on and the corrupt dictator is forcibly disposed of).

How is a respectable country not supposed to "care" if someone steals about 18% of your land?? and then "just move on"???
(Watcherovic, 27 June 2018 15:43)

Like Sweden after the Great Northern War? Or like Austria after WWI. Or Germany & Poland after WWII. Or Cyprus after 1974. Or South Korea after the Korean War. What if these countries continued being "respectable" and blaming the other side instead of moving on? Which Korea made the Samsung phone you or your friends have, the one who "moved on" or the one who was "respectable"?

Ottomans, Habsburgs and concentration camps couldn't destroy Serbia & Serbians - it's a disgrace to even think Albanians, the poorest in Europe could do it. Yes, I think NATO bombing was unacceptable, and if the majority of Serbs think Kosovo should be Serbia, this opinion should be expressed in the UN and other organizations. However, there are threats coming from inside Serbia, threatening the whole existence of the country. Corruption, poverty, tobacco, alcohol, mental illness - leading to massive depopulation of your country! At this rate, Serbia will stop existing before the year 2300. Kosovo & Albanians are far too high up in your priority list...

While the EU tells Serbia it needs to focus more on implementing EU laws to stop corruption and fraud in government, I would recommend Brussels revisit EU laws related to the same.

After watching the news, I am left with the impression the laws in the EU are geared more to catching fraud and corruption AFTER the fact rather than taking a proactive "checks and balance" pre-emptive approach to ensure processes and procedures are in place to avoid fraud and corrpution in government before it occurs.

The "visas" is referring to Iran.

This topic is quite stupid because each country can chose it's own visa policy regarding an other one. Like citizens of certain countries aren't eligible for visa-free entry - but are eligible for "visa on arrival" (after paying a small fee).

On the other hand, even with visa-free regime anyone can be denied the entry if (s)he does not look properly for the border guard (for some reason).

And even a visa is not a 100% guarantee. Try to make a major circus at the point of entry - there will be a problem with the entry.

So Serbia should merely clarify it's position: a bona-fide Iranian is welcome. Who is not, is not welcome.

At that point I think any visa is completely useless.

How can a co-worker of, say, German consulate in India determine quickly, is this particular person eligible for German visa or not?

I mention Germany because it was a wide-spread "visa for sex" abuse in India, Russia, China. Precisely from your "honest and serious" German "Beamte". The German consulate in Shanghai was in particular (very) infamous.

The best is to have a much more liberal visa policy everywhere - with certain accent on certain things.

Same about airport / railway security.

Best example how things DO WORK WELL: Israel.

Serbians should pay less attention to what Albanians do. Instead you should look at Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Korea, China and so on. Get your shit together and outperform the Albanians by caring less of what they do and learning from the best students of the class. It will be more difficult in the beginning but also more successful in the long run.
(BeenFollowingThings, 27 June 2018 11:31)

@ beenfollowingthingsbutstilldon'tunderstandaj - That wouldn't be a problem, believe you me, however, once the Albanians return what they stole, we'll mind our own business, trust me!

How is a respectable country not supposed to "care" if someone steals about 18% of your land?? and then "just move on"???

Choose poverty - side with Russia. I'm told Russia's economy is about the same size as Austria's.

You are told Russia's economy is about the size of Austria's and you're obviously a sucker for fake news. LOL! It's not hard to check. Russia sits at 6th whereas Austria sits in the 40s. Check -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(PPP)

Since you couldn't get the basics right, the rest is also utter rubbish.

@ azirovic - lol, but it won't be by you siptari...you guys aren't even done "liberating" your "kosova" yet!

And if the Magyars are gonna "liberate" Vojvodina, someone forgot to tell them they gotta do it with weapons, not with investment deals, business deals & friendship deals, LOL, LOL

I don't think much in this report is directly political - it's just common sense for the good of Serbia.

How can the EU expect “Normalization of relationship “ when serbs refuse to acknowledge the Kosovars but they demand “Municipalities of serb War Criminals “ to get approval from us!

Is it NORMAL to ignore reality but expecting benefits from the victims of Greater Serbia?

Serbs must pay what they owe in war reparations and liberate all non Serbs from occupation.

The EU needs to understand that Serbia will never place sanction on Russia. I'm all for modernising Serbia but I doubt Serbia will ever join the EU. Keep paying accession funds and I think everyone will be happy for the foreseeable future.

The lack of progress in the area of freedom of expression is causing growing concerns, the ministers also stressed, adding that the Serbian authorities must guarantee safe conditions for the unhindered exercise of the right to freedom of speech and the independence of the media as a priority task, including strengthening efforts to investigate attacks on journalists.

I'm told Russia's economy is about the same size as Austria's.
you were lied to.
as of 2018:
German economy in USD = 4,373,951 (in 5th)
Russian economy in USD = 4,168,884 (in 6th)
UK in 9th at 3,028,566

Nominally:
Russia ranks 10th, ahead of Canada, S.Korea and Spain to mention a few

Austria is no where to be seen on that list.

Regarding the press, and the freedoms of the press, I'm sure you are aware that in the venerable western world the press' trustworthiness is at an all time low. That is because the people in the west have seen their "honorable" journalists bold face lie to them on page 1 countless times. But it did make people happy to be lied to, just as much as anywhere else.

Gladly Assir... we'll pay the reparations in pork. Pork bellies in particular because they are a valuable commodity here in the US and fetch good money. Do you accept?!?!?

While the EU tells Serbia it needs to focus more on implementing EU laws to stop corruption and fraud in government, I would recommend Brussels revisit EU laws related to the same.

After watching the news, I am left with the impression the laws in the EU are geared more to catching fraud and corruption AFTER the fact rather than taking a proactive "checks and balance" pre-emptive approach to ensure processes and procedures are in place to avoid fraud and corrpution in government before it occurs.

@ beenfollowing things - That's true in every country, not just Srbija!
So BG is supposed to shrug off the theft of roughly 18% of her property for the sake of "moving on"? and when someones comes for Vojvodina, we'll just shrug that off too for the sake of "moving on"...lol.

Anyway all that matters is how people live and if they can effort what they need and have a social security that deserves its name.

Vucic has been clear over and over again! If eu gives serbia the money if would lose by imposing sanctions on Russia it will do so! Serbia is not going to impose sanctions on Russia and just lose money. It wants the ukriane deal. For every dollar lost by cutting ties to Russia eu gives it back to Ukraine.

Of course not, dear! BG, GB, XY or YZ or whoever should not shrug off the theft of 8%, 18%, 58% or any percent of his/her property, if and when that happens... Not sure why you ask such questions that have very obvious answers lol
