Zhukov, I'm not sure if I would say "never", but hopefully Islam stays in Albania and every other direction outside Europe. The good thing is that it looks like Merkel is on her way out - this stupidity was mostly her doing anyway..

Constitutionally Albania is a secular country. All religions are equal in the eyes of the state.
It has an atheist for President and a Christian for Prime Minister. In the country, the smallest religious group demographically (Catholics) has the largest number of churches and other religious objects by a factor of 3 in comparison to the largest demographic religious group of Muslims.
There are no religious political parties in Albania, in fact Albanian Muslims rejected the idea of creating a political party based on Islam.
So where do you back up your claim that Albania is a Muslim dominated country other that Serb national lies about Albanians?

Goes to show you the hypocrisy of the EU.. you accept the two extreme corrupt countries of Bulgaria and Romania, but won’t even start, just start, talks with Albania!
What would be wrong with just STARTING talks? This would encourage compliance and reform...

That joke about Albanians is fact. Yes, every group has their criminal elements and Serbs are no exceptions, but Albanians have taken that to new heights. In the UK alone, and the Albanian community there is very small, but there are 716 Albanian criminals in UK prisons which is an extremely high percentage based on the number of Albanians living there. They are considered utterly ruthless and run the 1-billion-pound cocaine industry. The rest of Europe is no better. They fill those prisons too.

We have a joke in the Netherlands: Q: Three Albanians are sitting on the back seat of a car. Who is driving? A: a police man.
I got this joke actually from an Albanian that lived in the Netherlands for a while. You can apply his joke of course to anybody from the Balkans. Before you dismiss this as racism, note that if we don't take a piss at you in the Netherlands, we don't like you. It is also a way of testing to see if you can take a joke and don't take yourself too seriously.

More Muslims live and practise in France, Sweden, Germany, Britain, The Netherlands and Belgium than in Albania LOL. Albania is constantly vetoed because of organised crime and corruption.

Being Muslim has reduced their chances of joining the EU, but a more pressing issue is the EU economy. It’s still stagnant and money printing is still very active, and it would only place a bigger burden on a system already overloaded with too recipients and insufficient number than donors.
A long time ago the Dutch signalled that they were having no part in EU expansion. With the UK leaving it would place an even bigger burden on their resources.
I think Albania is behind Turkey in the EU stakes, which never.

Thank god for that now Albanians can unify with Kosovo and start building relationships with the rest of the nations of the world. The EU is in decline and the only people that want to join are politicians. I’m so happy that we won’t be joining aboard the Titanic 2.0.

It has nothing to do with being Muslim. It has everything to do with being Albanian. All those EU country recognitions of Kosovo was so Albanian asylum seekers could be deported back to the Balkans.

The only one that cares about this in Albania is Rama and his party because they don't want this listed as a failure, whereas the rest of the country is much happier staying out of the EU than having EU standards threaten the profits coming from narco activities and remittances. All Albanians really care about is that their easy-money streams are not affected by stronger regulations. As long as they have NATO protection and big money coming, EU will always be like the annoying grandma that tells them to do their homework when in fact they're too busy doing the dirty. Many are saying The Netherlands actually see Albania as a competitor in the drug business, so the concerns of the Dutch representatives are not seen as genuine at all considering the lax morals of their country.

I'm not surprised of the news. There is a huge corruption in here. We have an arrogant government full of corruption. We have an Opposition filled with yesterday corrupted elite so there is no hope for the future either. We have the most corrupted juridical system in the globe and even why a so called Juridical Reform is being implemented its so slow it will take 5-10 years to end. There is a lot of problems with the property inherited from former owners and yet no reform is being done for that. There is a crucial need for a election reform and yet none from the political sides cares because they like the status quo.
The extreme poverty is a crucial problem and yet in 30 years of the so called "democracy" no government has done anything, indeed they have lowered the taxes for the rich oligarchs and rise the taxes for the poor people. The informality in the economical system is among the highest in the region and above. The healthcare system is like in Africa. The meritocracy system in the public sector is nul so the public administration is filled with idiots instead of professionals. So in few words we got a long road and hard job ahead to fulfill before we ask or beg for something we are not ready yet. We need to solidify the state, improve the life or our citiziens, infrastructure, lower corruption and criminality and only after that we can ask to join and only then we can be angry to the dutch or any other country that might say NO again.
