Macedonians' roots are Slavic and Albanian, says Greek PM

He's right, but at the same time Greeks of today are a mix of Albanians, Slavs, Turks, etc.

There are very few true Greeks left. Most are a mix of Turks, Gypsies, Albanians and Slavs. Even their language is quite different from Ancient Greek.

The new name ought to reflect the ethnicity of the current inhabitants....

DNA and genetics studies have shown they are ethnically closer to Serbs than Bulgarians. There was always outside pressure against the Serbian population of Macedonia, which was subject to pressure, attacks and/or ethnic cleansing from the Turks, Albanians, Bulgarians, and even the Yugoslav communists.

The Albanian population is lower than officially claimed and that is whey they are delaying/preventing a census. The last census involved a lot of fraud by and for the Albanians and the "international community" even threatened Macedonia from publishing the initial/raw data until it had been tampered with.

The Macedonian Question must conclude on the principle of preserving historical (accuracy) cohesion. And on the principle of erga omnes.

A crystal-clear distinction. Between FYRoM and Macedon. Between [ex] Yugoslavians and Hellenic-Macedonians.

Every single nation in the Balkans is ethnically mixed and related to one another. The Albanians, Greeks and Vlachs were not displaced by the incoming Slavs but rather everyone mixed with eachother, and formed the modern nations of Croatia, Bulgaria,Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro and Macedonia. If you believe to be pure after centuries of living in the same state you are delusional and maybe a little stupid. The same goes for Greeks, Albanians and Romanians who both have Slavic dna mixed in with their respective dna. Language and maybe religion are the only things that separates everyone from one another, as our cultures and genes are almost identical with little regional differences. The people of the Balkans need to wake up and realise there are more pressing issues at hand than names and folklore. Like the fact that the region is the poorest area in Europe or the fact that Turkey is treading on our very sovereignty once again, or that we have the highest youth unemployment and some of the highest crime rates in Europe etc.
