War is war! If you want to talk about diplomatic war then do you want to go as far back as the 1800 when the world powers were determining what part of the ottoman empire belongs to whom? You have to be careful in that you mention 2 major global wars and a long term occupation. You can't compare what happened in the Balkans in the 90's for a few years to the three you mentioned in your statement.
