"According to this, the EWF later notified Spain that it would not be able to host the competition, which will now likely take place in Poland in the fall. "

And, one might add, most likely the Spanish team will be forced by their politicians to boycott the competition in Poland as well. They could have tried to reach a compromise about national symbols and such if the competition were held in Spain. Things like no flags, or neutral symbols, similarly to IOC's flag case. For Spain to sort of save face. Now they have much less leverage in Poland.

Yo, shi Town sorry to burst your bubble but Spain is in the minority and is only adding more problems to the many she already has! Spain can quibble & quabble all she wants as The Republic Of Kosova will keep moving forward, maybe slowly but surly!

Pedey, Look at Spain's history and it will prove your point wrong. Spain has always been a dominant country in Europe - that is, until it doesn't suit the Albanian agenda; which of course is to overbreed and to steal your neighbors lands.

You ask what to do with the 2,000,000 Albanians, well I'll try to answer this for you. If you hadn't tried to overbreed the area in the first place, we obviously wouldn't be having this conversation. Sorry your grand plan failed and backfired on you people. Or, there is a great country just South called Albania, why don't your 2MM pals go there - you always say how great it is, so why would you want to integrate into poor old Serbia.

Even though I concede that you're entitled to your opinions I still wonder why do you have to laugh about Kosovar athletes not being able to participate in a championship that was supposed to be held in Spain?? It's not nice that you're laughing at these Kosovar athletes.

By any chance are you a defector to Serbia since Nis is located in that country? Either way and even though I'm probably forced to acknowledge that you're entitled to your opinions I still wonder why do you laugh about Kosovar athletes not being allowed to participate in this particular championship?? What you're doing is not nice.

Espana is fast becoming my favorite country in the world.... It's time for the EU sellouts illegally supporting the breakaway state of Kosovo to starting following Spain's lead!

You see the vast majority within Europe understand clearly that it is impossible to reintegrate 2 million Albanians within what remains of Serbia, Albanians which during the 1990s were facing extinction by Serbian government backed policies which authorized Serbian armed forces to conduct acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing! It's Not just a mere 2 million Albanian inhabitants that are in question here, you also have another 3 million in Albania, 500,000 in neighboring Macedonia, and the several million that live in every major European country!
You see you radical Serbs Possess the syndrome of nearsightedness and also cannot decipher big pictures,
Also shi Town, find yourself lucky that Europe is trying to find a solution that is in your behalf as well, because the understand that if another conflict erupts Serbia is going to be rocked back into oblivion and won't get back on her feet for another 100 years!
