The fundamental reason why Spain refuses to recognize Kosovo and vetoes any issue in which Kosovo appears is because Spain has secessionist problems in its own territory. If Spain recognizes the unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo, the Catalan separatists will argue: why can they and we can not? That's how it is. In Kosovo, international legality was violated and what some Western countries called "a unique precedent" is intended to become an open door through which they want to pass many unilateral declarations of independence, including those of some Spanish territory. And the Spanish government (this government, the previous one and future governments) will not allow it. Spain will never support unilateral declarations of independence and respects the territorial integrity of States. So Kosovo has a serious problem because its process of being a member of the European Union is going to encounter major obstacles.

Dear Mr Rice, the Serbian government is doing something about it by offering cash incentives for every child born in Serbia and the more a family has, the larger the incentive. Fortunately, our economy is growing so families will have funds for more children.

@ jucaj - Absolutley 100% right...Many countries are seeing this land-grab theft called"kosova" as something that could happen in their own country...and that is what Srbija & Russia, China, etc have been warning about...about the "precedent set", not above love for Srbija!!!
