icj1,
Stop with your Ustaša propaganda. The Jews of Serbia were murdered by Nazi occupiers and created mobile gas ovens to murder Jews because the Serbs, unlike the Croats, refused to cooperate with the Nazis. In fact, en masse, the Serbs did the opposite of most Croats : they came into the streets to yell "Bolje Grob, Nego Rob" (better grave than slave). For that they were mercilessly bombed by Hitler who had a fit after hearing about Serb defiance.
You fool no one.

"Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic says his country could build museums dedicated to Holocaust victims"

That's a good idea since Serbia was the first place in the Balkans to be declared judenfrei during WW2 with the help of Serbia's Government of National Salvation.

Well according to the counting scheme repetitively used by Tom and his ilk, the ptecise number of "more than" some rounded integer such as 300 000 is a recognizable mathematic convention.

LOL! You're not really going to bring up the word 'trust' are you Tom? 'Trust' doesn't exist in the Albanian vernacular and you know it. One doesn't have to look any further than the Albanian's repeated attempt to renege on their word on the Brussels agreement. Five years ago, your leaders agreed to establish the ZSO. Remember??

Još bezbrojna groblja zatravio nisi,A krvavu kamu u nedrima skrivaš,
Sa vešala starih novi konop visi,U sumraku uma novog gazdu snivaš.

Branio si zemlju od nejaci naše,Iz kolevke pio krv nevine dece,
Pod znamenje srama uz ime ustaše,Stavio si Hrista, Slobodu I Svece.

U bezumlju gledaš ko će nove kame,Oštrije I ljuce opet da ti skuje,Ciju li ceš pušku obesit’ o rame,Ko najbolje ume da ti komanduje.

Do not worry, I know it was not all perfectly in Yugoslavia.
But health insurance, pensions at least the people got. Now there is a lost generation that has problems to collect years to get a retirement money at all, many have to work without beeing registered. Sorry but corruption is today still higher than it was unter Titos time.
You can be brainwashed with any ideology. Is it capitalism, nationalism,... Starting from the middle 80s nationalism brainwashing started and what was the outcome? War. Brainwashing during communism never went anyhow close to a civil war.
Ideology we are all friends vs. we above the others. What sounds more reasonable?
The society in a real communist state has to except that they will not be leading with technologies or with money, for this the system of greed (capitslism) works better, but they have other richnesses like social equality (of course never perfect but much better).

(Watcher, 24 April 2018 16:14)

Watcher, Yugoslavia was already changing and moving in the direction of Democracy in the late 80's. Unfortunately, I think this didn't suit the US/West for obvious reasons, so they started supporting the break away groups to create the environment we saw in the 90's - this didn't prove difficult because of the history in the Balkans. Had this not happened, I think the country would be on par with any powerhouse in Europe today - and, you know that wasn't going to happen because of the powers that be. Just an opinion....

Serbia already had an excellent Holocaust museum, called the Museum of Genocide, curated by my late friend Dr. Milan Bulajic. It was closed due to policies of the regime of Boris Tadic. If you can find all the photographs and documentary evidence he collected and displayed, you'll have a ready made Holocaust Museum.

Jasenovac was a crime against humanity no doubt about it. There is no need to compare it to Holocaust, especially coming from the mouth of Vucic.
(Niko)
It is not needed to compare it to the Holocaust, it was part of it. Jewish people got killed there during the Holocaust. Maybe the killing of serbs there is called genozid on serbs, but the killing of jewish people there was by any definition part of the Holocaust.
And yes I agree Vucic in general should shut up, he lost the right to say anything politically already in the 90s, and with his mindset it is obvious what he would have been during ww2 if he would have been catholic.

Oh funny Vucic wants to build "Holocaust" museums in another country... Shouldn't Serbia lead by example and build memorials to all of the victims they caused since its existence? Shouldn't Batajnica be turned into a memorial to Albanians the murderous Serbian State killed, maimed, expelled, robbed and raped from 1878 until 1999?
It is insulting to the real victims of Jasenovac that Vucic who called for killings of innocent civilians like Bosniaks dare to speak in their name.

Just as many Serbs were killed in and around Srebrenica as Muslims but somehow Muslims lives matter more.
How's that for political scoring?
I guess you want to tell the Jews to forget about WW2 as well or they don't have to because their numbers were greater? If it's about the numbers then tell the Bosniaks to put a sock in it when it comes to Srebrenica.
Bottom line, you don't get to tell anyone how they are going to remember their dead and for how long.

The way dictatorships work my friend is by brainwashing people to believe in a philosophy that's unattainable. They had you believing in this utopia under the guise of Bratsvo Jedinstvo, but it never truly existed. There was more corruption and underhanded dealing when Tito ran the country than any other time in recent history. Hate and fear?!?! Ask someone who didn't belong to the Communist party buddy, then you'll see how far your Bratstvo Jedinstvo goes. I explain you the current difference between France and England comparing to the Balkan. They stopped watching so much into their hatress from the past. If they would not have stopped with that they would be still from time to time in war. They understood that this comparising of atrocities is an endless loop of hate. Here politicians still talk about the horrible things from the past in a way like but the other side.....
As far as I remember there was a monument (whichs architect had to leave the country because of Milosevic) during Tito time build in Jasenovac, in movies Ustasha appeared but he understood that the past must be left behind to avoid killing in the future. But the nationalists in the republics brought up the ghosts from the past.
Bratstvo i jedinstvo did not create fear that lead to another war. It was Tudjman, Milosevic and their fascist friends that came up again with the rethoric from the past and creating fear of the other side.
I think every Ustasha fan should be locked up as any nationalist that leads people with hate speeches into another war.

Also lets not forget to mention the " Croatian Nazi Ustase Murdering Grounds " included all the tiny Serbian hamlets and small towns through out Dalmacija and Bosna - Herzegovina !!!

Make sure before you build the structure that you make sure there aren’t any Albanian bodies buried in the soil from when you brought them back to Serbia in trucks in an attempt to hide the bodies. Oh, in general though, give it a rest already. Everyone in the region is moving forward with their lives while you’re seeing how far back in history you can go to score political points. Serbs are stupid so I guess it works. Won’t be surprised if Vucic begins whining about injustices in 1392 and begins reading witness statements🤣😂🤣

Vucic added that Serbia was "not running away from the story about the suffering of other peoples in the region," and stressed that he was "proud of that." Is it the same Vucic that said for every 1 Serb killed 100 Bosniaks will be killed in the 1990's. Serbia should make a holocaust museum of Serbia's many https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massacres_of_Albanians_in_the_Balkan_Wars https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chetnik_war_crimes_in_World_War_II crimes threw the centuries. Yes Jesanovac was a mass murdering camp where Croatian Nazi Ustase horrifically murdered probably more than one million Serbia, Roma and Jewish people but lets also mention Sisak Death Camp to torture and murder Serbian children run by Roman Catholic Nuns under the command of Roman Catholic Bishop Alojzije Stepinac !!!

Also lets not forget to mention the " Croatian Nazi Ustase Murdering Grounds " included all the tiny Serbian hamlets and small towns through out Dalmacija and Bosna - Herzegovina !!!

Finally I mention the reluctance of the Croatian people to denounce and accept the horrific atrocities they commited from 1940's to 1990's but the same like Josip Broz Tito who want to erase this wvil and wickedness from their blood stained consciences !!!

Is that so?
Why are you Albanians always moaning about Racak and other imaginary massacres? They aren't even real.
How about the "genocide" of Srebrenica. Every year commemoration is being held. Are you going to tell them to give it a rest too?
Just as many Serbs were killed in and around Srebrenica as Muslims but somehow Muslims lives matter more.
How's that for political scoring?
I guess you want to tell the Jews to forget about WW2 as well or they don't have to because their numbers were greater? If it's about the numbers then tell the Bosniaks to put a sock in it when it comes to Srebrenica.
Bottom line, you don't get to tell anyone how they are going to remember their dead and for how long.

croatian atrocities from 45 to 90?
You can keep up the hate and fear, I am sure you will find adequat people on the other side. I will go there like every year and will have a great time there.

Tito, you're trying to paint this beautiful picture of Yugoslavia under Josip Broz and it couldn't be further from the truth. Everyone was too afraid to speak up against Tito because they didn't want to be sent and beaten in jail. He was an evil man who ruled with an iron fist, and no one was going to go against him.

It is insulting to the real victims of Jasenovac that Vucic who called for killings of innocent civilians like Bosniaks dare to speak in their name.
