Albanians and Illyrians have one major common thing that makes them one nation. That is the spoken language. If two people speak the same language in millennials are not from same nation, then Albanians aren't Illyrians. But if they are, Albanophobia propaganda must stop.

Albanians have ancestors Illyrians who have ancestors Pelasgians. Homer in Illiad mentioned that "Pelasgians and Dardans fought against Greek tribes to protect the walls of the city of Troy". This is a pure fact where Greeks separate from any origin with Pelasgus or Illyria.

The Albanian language is a standalone Indo-European language without any relation to Greek or Latin.

The theories of "Albanians descending from another civilization" doesn't have any base to be counted because there's no other ancient civilization that inhabited Balkan. This theory is a propaganda to deny ethnicity and relation of Albanians with Illyria.

The Illyrian names still continue to be held by current Albanians, such as my own name is a prehistoric Illyrian name (Bledar meant The dead in Illyrian). For example the word ashes in Albanian means hiri, in Illyrian was hini. You may find the word hini meaning ashes in the north of Albania and Kosovo.

Illyrians similar to Greeks were invaded into tribes that later became standalone kingdoms.

The name Albanian is delivered from Albanois kingdom of Illyria. When archaeologist attend to discover any meaning of Albanian history puzzles they will try to find the meaning in the Greek mythology. Illyria doesn't needs a Greek translation, in Albanian I Lire means free. Illyria meant free people. Illyrian kingdoms were laid from central Albania to other parts of Balkan. During Slavic invasions Albanian territories were being occupied in the north by Slavic tribes, this made Albanians move down to Greek territory and create what's so called Arvanitas which means Arberesh.

When in Albania are found caves or prehistoric humans that inhabited the region about 50,000 years ago, there's no logic to find them another ancestor besides what they are, grandchildren of Illyrians and Pelasgians.

Pelasgus and Illyria were there before Greeks, maybe Greeks are another parallel people that delivered from Pelasgus alongside Albania maybe the were just there in smaller number. There are many theories that Greek nation doesn't exist.

Albanians have always been in the Balkans. Even if you would consider the hypothesis of migration here is no evidence that could prove it.

There is proof that for example Slavs came in the Balkans in the fourth century after Christ but no such proof exists for Albanians.

The scientific community agrees that Albanians -descendants of Illyrians- are autochthonous and just like Greeks have always been in the Balkans

There is no documented notice of any migration, to the territory of now Albania, niether during the Ottoman period, neither the Byzantine period.

To think such a migration would to happen, right besides the Greeks, you would think someone, somehow would have written about such a large group of people immigrating towards the Greeks, yet there is nothing.

This theory is mostly used by our neighbours, *cough* Serbia, Montenegro *cough* as a method of playing the game of “who was first” game, as a method to portray Albanians as outsides, “immigrants” that have no right to govern the territorys they inhabit. The Caucasus theory of Albanians have long been disproven and obsolete, yet many seem to still treat it as a fact.

The fact, is that we wont be 100% sure of Albanian origins, because unfortunately Illyrians were illiterate, which is funny because Albanians still favour oral tradition over written, Albanians in Kosovo are graded with oral exams, not written, but what is also a fact is that the Albanian language has influence from doric Greek (Ancient Greece) and latin (Roman empire), not to mention the many customs we share with the Greeks since forever, (Plis/Qeleshe, Fustanella). All facts move towards the contrary, that Albanians are autoctonous in the Balkans, but like i said, people keep insisting

The New York Times has done several articles about Albos in Kosovo being a hot bed of recruiting for ISIS, but no mention of Serbs. Which planet do you live on?

There is archaeological evidence to prove Greek history.
Just because you have an Albanian word for Aphrodite, or any other Greek deity, does not mean its Albanian. Since there are English words in the Albanian language, they must be also Albanian?

Albanians would have adopted words and customs from the dominant Greek culture. In fact under the Serbian Emperor Dusan Greek was the official language at his court. The Romans copied everything from the Greeks and adapted it to their needs and customs. That is why “ancient greek can be explained in Albanian and still make sense”. It does not mean they are of Albanian origin.

There is NOTHING, not even a fossilised toothpick, attributed to Albanians’ claim to have lived there for thousands of years.

Why stop at claiming words? Why not claim that Albanians built the Parthenon or perhaps the Pyramids or even the hanging gardens of Babylon?

These claims usually come from quack academics who puts 2+2 and comes up with 72 and people like you believe it.

All the petty bickering about a long ago past struck me as sad and childish.

The Balkans are NOT ready to join the European Union. Not now, not in 2025. Maybe in 40 generations from now.

It looks like the world should not have intervened in your argument. It looks like you are all not done fighting with each other, you haven't suffered enough yet to realize, there is no such thing as a "civil" war. War, by its very nature, is CRUEL and INHUMANE, and people suffer needlessly, and innocent people die and are killed ON ALL SIDES. That's what happens in wars.

Sadly, it doesn't seem many of you have figured that out yet.

Maybe, one day...you will, but sadly I think, only when there is no one left alive on the planet.

It’s just some ignorant propaganda based on an ancient coincidence.

The Armenian name for the nation in the Eastern Caucasus was a³vankʿ, which the Greeks transcribed as Albanía because Greeks were good in a lot of things but not languages.

That nation lived more or less within the borders of modern Azerbaijan, and lives on in the modern (Lezgic-speaking) Udi people.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the Albania in the Balkans, and anyway the name “Albanian” is an exonym in both cases.

Because Serbs claim that Kosovo is Serbian cradle of culture and religion despite the fact that serbs came to the Balkans from Russia between 6th and 9th century.

Saying that Albanians also came to the Balkans from somewhere but it's not known when, makes them look like visitors rather than hosts of Illyrian territories.

Same with Greece. They hate the fact that ancient greek has some connection with Albanian and that Albanians are the “proto greek barbarians” that lived thru out greece but spoke another language.

Greeks are afraid one day they might realize the greek mithology isn't greek at all.

Take Aphrodite for example. In Albanian this is Afërdita. It is a popular female name and it means, even today, near the sun. Afër is near, afro is bring it closer. Dita is day or sun. Afërdita is the planet Venus. There many examples like this where something from ancient greek can be explained in Albanian and still make sense. However, greeks are proud people. It is difficult to teach them something new.

Greece is just following the Serbian idea of this because they are already disturbed of an idea that they shared those lands with Albanians via Illyrians. Greek people see themselves as the inventors of the rest culture, politics and many other things and they are not ready to accept that there were some other tribes already contributed on this. At least Albanians were not one of them. So this idea is profitable for them, that’s why still today we have many historical problems with Greeks such as Epirus, Fustanella etc. Epirus issue is still a hot topic because the region located between Illyria and Ancient Greece. The name Epirus already found a meaning in modern Albanian - Epirus (albanian - I Epër- Upper) and most of albanian historians refer to the Ancient Greeks that called Epirotes as ‘’barbarians’’ which means that they were foreigners, not greeks. Later the issue of Arvanites whom are Albanophone community in Greece nowadays assimilated in to Greek. Greeks see Arvanites as former Albanians became Greek (because of Orthodoxy) and those muslim ones are not Albanians, but some colonies of Ottomans that they brought in to those lands.

Speaking honestly, Albanians were not able to create a strong Kingdom or Empire, they were everytime invaded by others, generally by its neighbors Serbia and Greece and that was the main reason that we became independent very late. Albanians were not brought by UFO’s in Balkans, they were living there long before. Even the language is unique on its own with a tiny influence of Latin and Slavic. That’s why it is considered separate from other languages in Indo European group.

After Ottoman invasion in Balkans and starts of converting of Albs 2 Islam this land started 2 change a proportion. Mostly Kosovo was populated by Orthodox Albanian and Serbs but those Orthodox Albanians were considered Serb because they were following the Serb path of Orthodoxy. Later came down of mountaneus Albanian tribes from Malesia region to Kosovo field made this land overhighmingly Albanian, outnumbering the Serbs. So long story short, some of Serb historians use this theory to erase every possible linking of Albs with Illyrians to stay autochtonous and rightful owners of Kosovo historically

Rade Mihajlcic - a historian in Serbia claimed that Albanians are autochtonous on those lands, Serbs are newcomers and they invaded Albanian lands. He rightfully claims that autochtonous people were Albanians, the descendants of Illyrians and when Slavs (Serbs) arrived in Kosovo they saw those Illyrians. This caused a reaction in Serbia and many other historians opposed this by saying ‘’We are not invaders in Kosovo’’. Generally ultra-nationalist Serbs accept the Caucassian theory, an average Serbs think that Kosovo was populated by Illyrians or Thracians but that doesn’t mean that they were Albanians. As we know that Kosovo is a ‘’historic’’ disputed territory between Serbs and Albanians everytime there are discussions that who was the first in here. So who was the first, it has a right to claim the ownership of land. Albanians claim that the land was populated by Dardanians (Illyrian-Thracian tribe) which is considered pure descendants of Albanians, on the other hand Serbs says that Illyrians are not actual Albanians, opposing the relation between ancient Illyrians (Dardanians) and modern Albanians. They tend to claim that they are the first in Kosovo and they have the most important heritage of their nation in Kosovo. A cradle of Serb nation. It is true that Slavic people influenced and somehow assimilated Illyrian tribes in northern parts. The theory of Albanians being descendants of Illyrians is geographic and linguistic. We have to divide the reasons why Serbs and why Greeks claim same thing.

Serbs claim that Albanians were brought from Ottomans, exactly from Albania region of Caucassus (Azarbaijan) after 13′th century. The only reason of claiming this is to justify that they are the real owners of the land called Kosovo and maybe Northern Albania and the others are newcomers that invaded our land. The name Albania has many meanings, but Albanians (in Balkans) adopted this name from the name of Illyrian tribe Albanoi and their centre Albanopolis, actual Kruja city. The origin of the name Albania is really a hot-topic and supposed to be given becouse of its mountaneous geography similar to Alp Mountains. Alp-Alb Albania, already from Medieval Principality of Arbanon - Ar -Bën. Albanians call themselves Shqiptar. The origin of the word Shqiptar is contentious. There are many theories about the origins of the word Shqiptar - some say that it is derived from Albanian word Shqiptoj - To speak clearly, some say that it cames from the Skopje city which in ancient history was known as Scupi, so Scupi - Scupidar - ShqipetaR. And for some serb that wants to find relief at this moment with the comparison of some islamist of albanian origin that have tried something similiar like this guy. I saw his picture in Albanian website (Balkan web) and he was an ugly semi bold serb with dark skin living in Montenegro.I never thought that serbs have mixed race. The Serbian perpetrator could only pass as Iraqi,Tunisian or Pakistani.

This is really a cute statement - always Pro-West. Hmmm, lets just go back to this little problem in Europe in the 1940's, yeah WW2. I don't happen to have the 7 page Albanian history book, but I read somewhere that the Albanians were Germany's (Nazi) little puppet state in the Balkans during this conflict - let's not leave our friends the Croats out of this conversation, they actually declared war on the US/Allies. Both, the Albs and Croats, guessed wrong and were on the losing side. But, that's what you people do, you try to latch on (like leeches) to the power that you think will win and, in return, you get something out of it - maybe new borders, something free, etc. Soon, maybe go back and correct your idiotic comment about Albos always been pro-West. Speaking honestly, Albanians were not able to create a strong Kingdom or Empire, they were everytime invaded by others, generally by its neighbors Serbia and Greece and that was the main reason that we became independent very late. Albanians were not brought by UFO’s in Balkans, they were living there long before. Even the language is unique on its own with a tiny influence of Latin and Slavic. That’s why it is considered separate from other languages in Indo European group.

I saw his picture in Albanian website (Balkan web) and he was an ugly semi bold serb with dark skin living in Montenegro.I never thought that serbs have mixed race. The Serbian perpetrator could only pass as Iraqi,Tunisian or Pakistani.

Because we live in Balkans and history is more political science than history. This peninsula is a mixture of ethnicites.

We have to divide the reasons why Serbs and why Greeks claim same thing.

Serbs claim that Albanians were brought from Ottomans, exactly from Albania region of Caucassus (Azarbaijan) after 13′th century. The only reason of claiming this is to justify that they are the real owners of the land called Kosovo and maybe Northern Albania and the others are newcomers that invaded our land. The name Albania has many meanings, but Albanians (in Balkans) adopted this name from the name of Illyrian tribe Albanoi and their centre Albanopolis, actual Kruja city. The origin of the name Albania is really a hot-topic and supposed to be given becouse of its mountaneous geography similar to Alp Mountains. Alp-Alb Albania, already from Medieval Principality of Arbanon - Ar -Bën. Albanians call themselves Shqiptar. The origin of the word Shqiptar is contentious. There are many theories about the origins of the word Shqiptar - some say that it is derived from Albanian word Shqiptoj - To speak clearly, some say that it cames from the Skopje city which in ancient history was known as Scupi, so Scupi - Scupidar - ShqipetaR. Rade Mihajlcic - a historian in Serbia claimed that Albanians are autochtonous on those lands, Serbs are newcomers and they invaded Albanian lands. He rightfully claims that autochtonous people were Albanians, the descendants of Illyrians and when Slavs (Serbs) arrived in Kosovo they saw those Illyrians. This caused a reaction in Serbia and many other historians opposed this by saying ‘’We are not invaders in Kosovo’’. Generally ultra-nationalist Serbs accept the Caucassian theory, an average Serbs think that Kosovo was populated by Illyrians or Thracians but that doesn’t mean that they were Albanians. As we know that Kosovo is a ‘’historic’’ disputed territory between Serbs and Albanians everytime there are discussions that who was the first in here. So who was the first, it has a right to claim the ownership of land. Albanians claim that the land was populated by Dardanians (Illyrian-Thracian tribe) which is considered pure descendants of Albanians, on the other hand Serbs says that Illyrians are not actual Albanians, opposing the relation between ancient Illyrians (Dardanians) and modern Albanians. They tend to claim that they are the first in Kosovo and they have the most important heritage of their nation in Kosovo. A cradle of Serb nation. It is true that Slavic people influenced and somehow assimilated Illyrian tribes in northern parts. The theory of Albanians being descendants of Illyrians is geographic and linguistic. Greece is just following the Serbian idea of this because they are already disturbed of an idea that they shared those lands with Albanians via Illyrians. Greek people see themselves as the inventors of the rest culture, politics and many other things and they are not ready to accept that there were some other tribes already contributed on this. At least Albanians were not one of them. So this idea is profitable for them, that’s why still today we have many historical problems with Greeks such as Epirus, Fustanella etc. Epirus issue is still a hot topic because the region located between Illyria and Ancient Greece. The name Epirus already found a meaning in modern Albanian - Epirus (albanian - I Epër- Upper) and most of albanian historians refer to the Ancient Greeks that called Epirotes as ‘’barbarians’’ which means that they were foreigners, not greeks. Later the issue of Arvanites whom are Albanophone community in Greece nowadays assimilated in to Greek. Greeks see Arvanites as former Albanians became Greek (because of Orthodoxy) and those muslim ones are not Albanians, but some colonies of Ottomans that they brought in to those lands.

After Ottoman invasion in Balkans and starts of converting of Albs 2 Islam this land started 2 change a proportion. Mostly Kosovo was populated by Orthodox Albanian and Serbs but those Orthodox Albanians were considered Serb because they were following the Serb path of Orthodoxy. Later came down of mountaneus Albanian tribes from Malesia region to Kosovo field made this land overhighmingly Albanian, outnumbering the Serbs. So long story short, some of Serb historians use this theory to erase every possible linking of Albs with Illyrians to stay autochtonous and rightful owners of Kosovo historically

It’s just some ignorant propaganda based on an ancient coincidence.

The Armenian name for the nation in the Eastern Caucasus was a³vankʿ, which the Greeks transcribed as Albanía because Greeks were good in a lot of things but not languages.

That nation lived more or less within the borders of modern Azerbaijan, and lives on in the modern (Lezgic-speaking) Udi people.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the Albania in the Balkans, and anyway the name “Albanian” is an exonym in both cases.

There is archaeological evidence to prove Greek history.
Just because you have an Albanian word for Aphrodite, or any other Greek deity, does not mean its Albanian. Since there are English words in the Albanian language, they must be also Albanian?

Albanians would have adopted words and customs from the dominant Greek culture. In fact under the Serbian Emperor Dusan Greek was the official language at his court. The Romans copied everything from the Greeks and adapted it to their needs and customs. That is why “ancient greek can be explained in Albanian and still make sense”. It does not mean they are of Albanian origin.

There is NOTHING, not even a fossilised toothpick, attributed to Albanians’ claim to have lived there for thousands of years.

Why stop at claiming words? Why not claim that Albanians built the Parthenon or perhaps the Pyramids or even the hanging gardens of Babylon?

These claims usually come from quack academics who puts 2+2 and comes up with 72 and people like you believe it.

The Balkans are NOT ready to join the European Union. Not now, not in 2025. Maybe in 40 generations from now.

It looks like the world should not have intervened in your argument. It looks like you are all not done fighting with each other, you haven't suffered enough yet to realize, there is no such thing as a "civil" war. War, by its very nature, is CRUEL and INHUMANE, and people suffer needlessly, and innocent people die and are killed ON ALL SIDES. That's what happens in wars.

Sadly, it doesn't seem many of you have figured that out yet.

Albanians have always been in the Balkans. Even if you would consider the hypothesis of migration here is no evidence that could prove it.

There is proof that for example Slavs came in the Balkans in the fourth century after Christ but no such proof exists for Albanians.

The scientific community agrees that Albanians -descendants of Illyrians- are autochthonous and just like Greeks have always been in the Balkans

There is no documented notice of any migration, to the territory of now Albania, niether during the Ottoman period, neither the Byzantine period.

To think such a migration would to happen, right besides the Greeks, you would think someone, somehow would have written about such a large group of people immigrating towards the Greeks, yet there is nothing.

This theory is mostly used by our neighbours, *cough* Serbia, Montenegro *cough* as a method of playing the game of “who was first” game, as a method to portray Albanians as outsides, “immigrants” that have no right to govern the territorys they inhabit. The Caucasus theory of Albanians have long been disproven and obsolete, yet many seem to still treat it as a fact.

The fact, is that we wont be 100% sure of Albanian origins, because unfortunately Illyrians were illiterate, which is funny because Albanians still favour oral tradition over written, Albanians in Kosovo are graded with oral exams, not written, but what is also a fact is that the Albanian language has influence from doric Greek (Ancient Greece) and latin (Roman empire), not to mention the many customs we share with the Greeks since forever, (Plis/Qeleshe, Fustanella). All facts move towards the contrary, that Albanians are autoctonous in the Balkans, but like i said, people keep insisting

Albanians have ancestors Illyrians who have ancestors Pelasgians. Homer in Illiad mentioned that "Pelasgians and Dardans fought against Greek tribes to protect the walls of the city of Troy". This is a pure fact where Greeks separate from any origin with Pelasgus or Illyria.

The Albanian language is a standalone Indo-European language without any relation to Greek or Latin.

The theories of "Albanians descending from another civilization" doesn't have any base to be counted because there's no other ancient civilization that inhabited Balkan. This theory is a propaganda to deny ethnicity and relation of Albanians with Illyria.

The Illyrian names still continue to be held by current Albanians, such as my own name is a prehistoric Illyrian name (Bledar meant The dead in Illyrian). For example the word ashes in Albanian means hiri, in Illyrian was hini. You may find the word hini meaning ashes in the north of Albania and Kosovo.

Illyrians similar to Greeks were invaded into tribes that later became standalone kingdoms.

The name Albanian is delivered from Albanois kingdom of Illyria. When archaeologist attend to discover any meaning of Albanian history puzzles they will try to find the meaning in the Greek mythology. Illyria doesn't needs a Greek translation, in Albanian I Lire means free. Illyria meant free people. Illyrian kingdoms were laid from central Albania to other parts of Balkan. During Slavic invasions Albanian territories were being occupied in the north by Slavic tribes, this made Albanians move down to Greek territory and create what's so called Arvanitas which means Arberesh.

When in Albania are found caves or prehistoric humans that inhabited the region about 50,000 years ago, there's no logic to find them another ancestor besides what they are, grandchildren of Illyrians and Pelasgians.

Pelasgus and Illyria were there before Greeks, maybe Greeks are another parallel people that delivered from Pelasgus alongside Albania maybe the were just there in smaller number. There are many theories that Greek nation doesn't exist.

Albanians and Illyrians have one major common thing that makes them one nation. That is the spoken language. If two people speak the same language in millennials are not from same nation, then Albanians aren't Illyrians. But if they are, Albanophobia propaganda must stop.

Because Serbs claim that Kosovo is Serbian cradle of culture and religion despite the fact that serbs came to the Balkans from Russia between 6th and 9th century.

Saying that Albanians also came to the Balkans from somewhere but it's not known when, makes them look like visitors rather than hosts of Illyrian territories.

Same with Greece. They hate the fact that ancient greek has some connection with Albanian and that Albanians are the “proto greek barbarians” that lived thru out greece but spoke another language.

Take Aphrodite for example. In Albanian this is Afërdita. It is a popular female name and it means, even today, near the sun. Afër is near, afro is bring it closer. Dita is day or sun. Afërdita is the planet Venus. There many examples like this where something from ancient greek can be explained in Albanian and still make sense. However, greeks are proud people. It is difficult to teach them something new.

Greece is just following the Serbian idea of this because they are already disturbed of an idea that they shared those lands with Albanians via Illyrians. The name Epirus already found a meaning in modern Albanian - Epirus (albanian - I Epër- Upper) and most of albanian historians refer to the Ancient Greeks that called Epirotes as ‘’barbarians’’ which means that they were foreigners, not greeks. Later the issue of Arvanites whom are Albanophone community in Greece nowadays assimilated in to Greek. Greeks see Arvanites as former Albanians became Greek (because of Orthodoxy) and those muslim ones are not Albanians, but some colonies of Ottomans that they brought in to those lands.

Speaking honestly, Albanians were not able to create a strong Kingdom or Empire, they were everytime invaded by others, generally by its neighbors Serbia and Greece and that was the main reason that we became independent very late. Albanians were not brought by UFO’s in Balkans, they were living there long before. Even the language is unique on its own with a tiny influence of Latin and Slavic. That’s why it is considered separate from other languages in Indo European group.

We have to divide the reasons why Serbs and why Greeks claim same thing.

Serbs claim that Albanians were brought from Ottomans, exactly from Albania region of Caucassus (Azarbaijan) after 13′th century. The only reason of claiming this is to justify that they are the real owners of the land called Kosovo and maybe Northern Albania and the others are newcomers that invaded our land. The name Albania has many meanings, but Albanians (in Balkans) adopted this name from the name of Illyrian tribe Albanoi and their centre Albanopolis, actual Kruja city. The origin of the name Albania is really a hot-topic and supposed to be given becouse of its mountaneous geography similar to Alp Mountains. Alp-Alb Albania, already from Medieval Principality of Arbanon - Ar -Bën. Albanians call themselves Shqiptar. The origin of the word Shqiptar is contentious. Many place names in Illyria found a meaning in modern Albanian language 4 example the place Dalmatia - (albanian - delmë - sheep), Dardania (albanian - dardhë - pear), Illyria (albanian- Iliria- Freedom) or Illyri(albanian Ylli i ri - New Star) etc.Illyrian language is not alive, but according to the most of historians Albanian language is considered to be the only related language to Illyrian nowadays.

In fact, Albs were a part of the military of Tsar Dushan as he mention them as ‘’Arbanas’’ but because they were Orthodox, modern Serb history claim that they were Serbs. After Ottoman invasion in Balkans and starts of converting of Albs 2 Islam this land started 2 change a proportion. Mostly Kosovo was populated by Orthodox Albanian and Serbs but those Orthodox Albanians were considered Serb because they were following the Serb path of Orthodoxy. Later came down of mountaneus Albanian tribes from Malesia region to Kosovo field made this land overhighmingly Albanian, outnumbering the Serbs. So long story short, some of Serb historians use this theory to erase every possible linking of Albs with Illyrians to stay autochtonous and rightful owners of Kosovo historically

It’s just some ignorant propaganda based on an ancient coincidence.

The Armenian name for the nation in the Eastern Caucasus was a³vankʿ, which the Greeks transcribed as Albanía because Greeks were good in a lot of things but not languages.

That nation lived more or less within the borders of modern Azerbaijan, and lives on in the modern (Lezgic-speaking) Udi people.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the Albania in the Balkans, and anyway the name “Albanian” is an exonym in both cases.

Blowing up embassies yet I thought Kosovo was the new caliphate according to Serbian media because of all those Gorsh darn Albanians, aka Turks, aka Jews, aka Caucasian sheep herders, Aka alien reptiles loooooooool. I read about 10 or 20 comments on here and then I had to stop.

All the petty bickering about a long ago past struck me as sad and childish.

The Balkans are NOT ready to join the European Union. Not now, not in 2025. Maybe in 40 generations from now.

It looks like the world should not have intervened in your argument. It looks like you are all not done fighting with each other, you haven't suffered enough yet to realize, there is no such thing as a "civil" war. War, by its very nature, is CRUEL and INHUMANE, and people suffer needlessly, and innocent people die and are killed ON ALL SIDES. That's what happens in wars.

Sadly, it doesn't seem many of you have figured that out yet.

Maybe, one day...you will, but sadly I think, only when there is no one left alive on the planet.

Albanians are like Croats since both don’t have history, they try and steal it from others. You have no idea about Greek mythology or where it came from. First it was Serb churches in Kosovo and now Greek culture.

There is archaeological evidence to prove Greek history.
Just because you have an Albanian word for Aphrodite, or any other Greek deity, does not mean its Albanian. Since there are English words in the Albanian language, they must be also Albanian?

Albanians would have adopted words and customs from the dominant Greek culture. In fact under the Serbian Emperor Dusan Greek was the official language at his court. The Romans copied everything from the Greeks and adapted it to their needs and customs. That is why “ancient greek can be explained in Albanian and still make sense”. It does not mean they are of Albanian origin.

There is NOTHING, not even a fossilised toothpick, attributed to Albanians’ claim to have lived there for thousands of years.

Why stop at claiming words? Why not claim that Albanians built the Parthenon or perhaps the Pyramids or even the hanging gardens of Babylon?

These claims usually come from quack academics who puts 2+2 and comes up with 72 and people like you believe it.

Albanians and Illyrians have one major common thing that makes them one nation. That is the spoken language. If two people speak the same language in millennials are not from same nation, then Albanians aren't Illyrians. But if they are, Albanophobia propaganda must stop.

The Illyrians did not leave any written records so how you can prove anything is beyond most rational thinkers. Albos like you make it up as you go along. There is not even a fossilized toothpick nor a cave painting that connects modern day Albos with ANY of the ancient peoples.

I suggest that you go to any university library and see if any of your claims can be proven. As I said if you have children dont tell them this crap otherwise they will be the laughing stcok of their school.

Albanians have always been in the Balkans. Even if you would consider the hypothesis of migration here is no evidence that could prove it.

There is proof that for example Slavs came in the Balkans in the fourth century after Christ but no such proof exists for Albanians.

The scientific community agrees that Albanians -descendants of Illyrians- are autochthonous and just like Greeks have always been in the Balkans

There is no documented notice of any migration, to the territory of now Albania, niether during the Ottoman period, neither the Byzantine period.

To think such a migration would to happen, right besides the Greeks, you would think someone, somehow would have written about such a large group of people immigrating towards the Greeks, yet there is nothing.

This theory is mostly used by our neighbours, *cough* Serbia, Montenegro *cough* as a method of playing the game of “who was first” game, as a method to portray Albanians as outsides, “immigrants” that have no right to govern the territorys they inhabit. The Caucasus theory of Albanians have long been disproven and obsolete, yet many seem to still treat it as a fact.

The fact, is that we wont be 100% sure of Albanian origins, because unfortunately Illyrians were illiterate, which is funny because Albanians still favour oral tradition over written, Albanians in Kosovo are graded with oral exams, not written, but what is also a fact is that the Albanian language has influence from doric Greek (Ancient Greece) and latin (Roman empire), not to mention the many customs we share with the Greeks since forever, (Plis/Qeleshe, Fustanella). All facts move towards the contrary, that Albanians are autoctonous in the Balkans, but like i said, people keep insisting

Albanians have ancestors Illyrians who have ancestors Pelasgians. Homer in Illiad mentioned that "Pelasgians and Dardans fought against Greek tribes to protect the walls of the city of Troy". This is a pure fact where Greeks separate from any origin with Pelasgus or Illyria.

The Albanian language is a standalone Indo-European language without any relation to Greek or Latin.

The theories of "Albanians descending from another civilization" doesn't have any base to be counted because there's no other ancient civilization that inhabited Balkan. This theory is a propaganda to deny ethnicity and relation of Albanians with Illyria.

The Illyrian names still continue to be held by current Albanians, such as my own name is a prehistoric Illyrian name (Bledar meant The dead in Illyrian). For example the word ashes in Albanian means hiri, in Illyrian was hini. You may find the word hini meaning ashes in the north of Albania and Kosovo.

Illyrians similar to Greeks were invaded into tribes that later became standalone kingdoms.

The name Albanian is delivered from Albanois kingdom of Illyria. When archaeologist attend to discover any meaning of Albanian history puzzles they will try to find the meaning in the Greek mythology. Illyria doesn't needs a Greek translation, in Albanian I Lire means free. Illyria meant free people. Illyrian kingdoms were laid from central Albania to other parts of Balkan. During Slavic invasions Albanian territories were being occupied in the north by Slavic tribes, this made Albanians move down to Greek territory and create what's so called Arvanitas which means Arberesh.

When in Albania are found caves or prehistoric humans that inhabited the region about 50,000 years ago, there's no logic to find them another ancestor besides what they are, grandchildren of Illyrians and Pelasgians.

Pelasgus and Illyria were there before Greeks, maybe Greeks are another parallel people that delivered from Pelasgus alongside Albania maybe the were just there in smaller number. There are many theories that Greek nation doesn't exist.
