Offcourse they are! No sane person wants war no matter serb or albanian. Everyone wants peace,harmony,and stability. We all have families to take care of and we all want to live like decent human beings. But when you have Nicolic as a president who wants war, then forget about peace. Serbia needs to recongnize Kosova as an independent state and then peace will prevail in the balkans. There will be no more arguments after that!

Kosova should build a "peace park" on the highway, right before Merdare.
Or pour concrete and build a "barricade" on top of the highway?
Maybe also put up a gigantic wall in the middle of it? The creative ideas we can borrow from Serbs to stop freedom of movement can be endless.

I'd like to see Vucic lick what he spat at Mustafa in Sarajevo, and beg him to be part of this project. Short sighted pssy!

It would be more in the national interest of Serbia to close the administrative crossings with Kosovo at Merdere, Koncul, Mucibaba and Orlane (which i believe are all the crossings on the Eastern part). While it will initially create a bottleneck for trucks at Jarinje and up by Gazivode, it keeps things under more control. Once Pristina acts more responsibly discussions can be made regarding re-opening them, one at a time.

This is a great idea. Freedom of movement for ordinary citizens, commrecently, and jut being connected is good. Serbs can enjoy low cost travel to Durres, Albanians can travel via Serbia.

I'm not sure anybody is saying that the constitutive units of the SFRY should be divided. As for the RS and Krajina, they were not constitutive units of the SFRY.

Even still this project is on the table but when is going to be build is another question? Serbia still has those highways from Yugoslavia it's meant Serbia black hole nothing at all is building in Kosovo few years back we have highway all the Balkan are jealous of especially Serbia?

800 million Euros for 77 kms. 10+ million euros per km. Plus the additional million euros when the original 800 million run out. Really hope to see it realized even with these Balkan costs. Imagine how many mouths it will feed :). The workers of the construction companies, the people at the two ministries of transportation in Belgrade and Prishtina who will review the applications in the public procurement (tender) processes, the companies that will provide the materials, the gas stations along the route later on, the architecture/civil engineering companies that will design it, the mayors of the cities along the route that will facilitate the work. Etc, etc. I wonder how much the EU is giving out and how much it is taxpayer money.
