The Ovcara farm war crimes trial was closed to the public for the third day in a row. The trial chamber continued to hear testimony from a former officer of the Yugoslav National Army, who requested that the trial be closed to the public. Ovcara trial closed to public again The retrial for the execution of over 200 Croat prisoners at the Ovcara farm on the night of November 20-21, 1991, began in March of last year after the Supreme Court overturned the first instance verdict. The District Court had handed 20 year sentences to the commander of the Vukovar Territorial Defense Miroljub Vujovic, his deputy Stanko Vujanovic, commander of the Leva Supoderica volunteer unit Milan Lancuzanin and volunteers Predrag Milojevic, Predrag Dragovic, Djordje Sosic, Miroslav Djankovic, Ivan Atanasijevic and Sasa Radak. Vujo Zlatar, Milan Vojinovic and Jovica Peric were sentenced to 15 years in the initial ruling, while Predrag Madzarac was given 12 years; the only women indicted, Nada Kalaba, received nine years and Goran Mugosa was sentenced to five years behind bars. Marko Ljuboja and Slobodan Katic were acquitted.

Vujo Zlatar, Milan Vojinović and Jovica Perić were sentenced to 15 years in the initial ruling, while Predrag Madžarac was given 12 years; the only women indicted, Nada Kalaba, received nine years and Goran Mugoša was sentenced to five years behind bars.
