OSCE: Election process in Kosovo was regular

The OSCE had personnel in every unit where the process was under way and they had clear instructions and precise training, Sabovic told Tanjug.

The OSCE personnel did react to certain regularities, Sabovic said without elaborating, adding that the intensity of the irregularities was such that it could not jeopardise the election process in Kosovo.

"After the closure of vote collection units (polling stations), the ballot boxes were sealed and taken to Raska and Vranje, central Serbia, where they were handed over to officials of the Serbian central electoral commission for counting," he said.

The fact that the process was held under OSCE auspices does not make it irregular, because we had similar models in 2012 and 2014, when everything was regular, too, Sabovic said.

A total 47,500 out of 106,094 registered voters cast their ballots on Sunday, with the Serb Progressive Party (SNS) winning 67.09 percent of the votes.
