Police Union of Serbia (PSS) has announced it did not reach an agreement with the Interior Ministry representatives and that its members will continue strike.

Police Union of Serbia (PSS) has announced it did not reach an agreement with the Interior Ministry representatives and that its members will continue strike. PSS President Veljko Mijailovic said on Friday night that the Interior Ministry representatives and union representatives had failed to reach an agreement on the special collective agreement at the meeting which was attended by Interior Minister Ivica Dacic and police administration chiefs. Police union continues strike Dacic called on the ministry officials to allow employees to exercise their union rights and on the PSS to ensure that police officers responsibly perform their work duties. The minister also called for a consistent implementation of the special collective agreement. The PSS president pointed out that police administration chiefs did not have answers to Union’s numerous questions and that they would therefore continue the strike. (FoNet, file)
