Serbian film in Cannes' L'Atelier program

A Serbian film, “White, White World” directed by Oleg Novkovic and produced by Milena Markovic entered the last 15 of the Cannes Film Festival’s Atelier 2008. The Cannes Film Festival and the Cinefondation launched "L'Atelier in 2005 with the aim of supporting films under production that Cannes believes have exceptional artistic potential. The film won two awards at the Cinelink regional program for the development of film projects at the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2007. Each year, L'Atelier selects about fifteen feature length projects from around the world, and invites their directors to the Festival de Cannes in order to put them in contact with film professionals.

The filmmakers are selected according to the quality of their project and that of their previous films.

Each year, L'Atelier selects about fifteen feature length projects from around the world, and invites their directors to the Festival de Cannes in order to put them in contact with film professionals.
