Editor-in-chief receives death threat

“This is a continuation of threats being aimed at me, everything is done with the intention of frightening me and trying to make me stop publishing documentation and arguments about criminal activity,” Cvetković said.

He said that he has also received threats from police officers who were fired because he released a video in which “they were seen snorting a white, powdered substance.”

“I answered those threats by reporting them to the police, but there is still no information pointing to investigations being started against these people," Cvetković said.

He said that he has informed Internal Affairs Minister Dragan Jočić's cabinet of the most recent threats.

G17 Plus has condemned the incident and has asked that the police react professionally and urgently.

“Objective and independent journalism must be used as an instrument for showing the Serbian public the large number of wrongs that still exist and help in the effort of rooting out these wrongs,” the party stated.
