"Ethnic Albanians denied fair trial"

“The court processes were not conducted in accordance with the law, rather by following someone’s orders, particularly when it came to the Đakovica group case, when the judge collectively found the entire group guilty,” Musliusaid.

He said that Albanians were tried "only for their ethnicity and different political views".

Lawyer Rajko Danilović said on the occasion that the book might have one flaw—the title.

“There is no need to say ‘rigged or staged processes’, as all political trials and processes are de facto staged, and it is hard to try somebody for political views without staging the trial,” he said.

Vreme weekly journalist Dejan Anastasijević said that the fact Prime Minister Vojislav Koštunica granted general amnesty for Albanian political convicts, did not resolve them from accountability.

“They were only released, however their records remain tainted,” Anastasijević said.

Musliu said that his book was dedicated to the authorities, adding that he now awaited their reaction, since to date "nobody was held responsible for the staging of court processes against Albanians."
