“The tragic event has shown how much time has been wasted in theoretical discussion about the need to regulate the work of courts security,” Petrović Škero said.

According to her, the Ministry of the Interior (MUP) should map out a plan providing security for the courts, and that an entire system should be devised and set up to guarantee the protection of every citizen and judge.

Petrović Škero said that even though Serbia’s judges faced numerous verbal attacks and threats, “The system was not improved to eliminate those threats and provide a safe working environment and functioning of courts.”
