Optimism toward the EU is growing in Croatia, according to a Hendal poll commissioned by Croatian state television HRT. 56 percent of respondents were in favor of Croatia joining the EU, 34.2 were opposed, while the rest said they were still undecided. EU membership will not bring any changes in Croatia, said 40.8 percent, while 35.7 percent believe accession will benefit the country, with 23.5 percent saying it will harm it. The average rating was 3.12. A 45 percent majority of the people polled said they were well or very well informed about the EU. They rated their level of information an average of 3.29.
