Macedonian FM Antonio Miloshoski has proposed that Macedonia and Greece sign a declaration of friendship, good neighborly relations and cooperation.

Macedonian FM Antonio Miloshoski has proposed that Macedonia and Greece sign a declaration of friendship, good neighborly relations and cooperation. The proposal was made in a letter sent by Miloshoski to Greek counterpart Dora Bakoyannis and is the second time that Skopje has offered such a declaration. Skopje offers Athens friendship declaration He said that this would contribute to development and friendship between the countries both for current and future generations, and would help foster peace and development in the region and Europe as a whole. In order to overcome differences in terms of certain historical issues, the minister once again proposed the creation of a joint education and history committee. Miloshoski believes that these steps would facilitate quicker understanding between the two sides in the talks process concerning Macedonia’s constitutional name.
