Leader of the opposition SNS Tomislav Nikolic says his party would not organize any rallies in the near future. They would instead “continue systematically gathering together the people that will govern Serbia after elections", he stated. "SNS will not organize any rallies in near future" Nikolic, who is convinced that that the Progressives will win the next election, said the party would continue working on improving its program and attracting investors and thus be "taking care of Serbia." Speaking during a public broadcaster RTS talk-show on Wednesday, he said that “no one who speaks the truth will be able to say anymore that a coalition between the Democratic Party (DS) and SNS is possible,” but added, however, that “efforts can be joined regarding the resolution of certain issues.” “Whatever I may think of DS, when it comes to Kosovo we must cooperate. SNS is willing to take the responsibility, although it does not plan to ever be in a coalition with DS,” the SNS president pointed out. He stated that the “when SNS comes to power” it would have to face many challenges, but added he was positive the citizens would never hate or condemn the party. “Serbia's citizens trust us, and that is the most important thing, as DS will not be able to regain the confidence it used to enjoy,” said Nikolic. He said that his recent thirst and hunger strike had been something he had decided to do of his own accord, that he had been right in his assessments and that the fact that the elections had not been scheduled had brought losses to Serbia, rather than to SNS.
