The CPAPs represent a significant step in the implementation of the UN Country Partnership Strategy which the Serbian government and the EN signed on June 25, 2010. Delevic said that the document represented an act aimed at concretization of cooperation, and was the result of priorities defined through joint efforts of the UN and Serbia, which were aimed at directing and supporting Serbia on its EU path. She expressed hope that the signed documents and their effect would be equally beneficial for all domains on which Serbia has decided to focus, and for Serbia's general progress toward the EU. The UNDP CPAP will focus on good governance, sustainable development and social inclusion, energy and environment, while the UNICEF CPAP focuses on supporting national efforts towards the social inclusion of vulnerable children and families. “We are proud to be a credible and trusted partner of the Government and people of Serbia. The strategy will draw on the skills and expertise of more than 24 resident and non-resident agencies that will deploy high-level policy advice and capacity-building expertise, deliver tangible results, and further position Serbia as a regional leader,” Infante said.
