The Serbian parliamentary is expected to hold a meeting to discuss the Kosovo situation next week. The meeting could be held on Monday, Parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic said. Parliament to discuss Kosovo next week Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic announced that the government would proposed the parliamentary adoption of an act that would look to establish unity between all political structures in the country regarding the preservation of Serbia’s territorial integrity. As soon as that document reaches the parliament, Djukic-Dejanovic would schedule the emergency session. “As soon as the government sends the act it is announcing—I assume that it would be sent according to emergency procedures—I will call the meeting. Theoretically, this could happen as soon as on Monday or we could move whatever meeting has already been scheduled. Therefore, we will hold it next week and discuss the act,” she said. “I do not know in what form the act will be, but it is important for the government to do it quickly, because it will then be possible to schedule the meeting as soon as possible,” Djukic-Dejanovic said.
