Opposition Serb Progressive Party (SNS) deputy leader Aleksandar Vucic says criticism of his party has been caused by its improving rating. His comments came after Serbian President and ruling Democratic Party (DS) leader Boris Tadic's statement that SNS – an offshoot of the Serb Radical Party (SRS) – are "still militant radicals". "SNS rating caused Tadic jibe" "Six months ago, when DS had a 20 percent advantage on SNS, Tadic did not see us as militant," Vucic told B92 TV in Belgrade late on Friday. "Today when we are one or two percent ahead, and we are militant radicals," he continued. Vucic also said he was "very pleased" with his recent visit to the United States, and added that his party stands for "best possible relations with Washington", that should have "economic cooperation at the center".
