Russian deputy FM in Belgrade for talks on Kosovo

Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic met in Belgrade Sunday with Deputy Russian Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov. The Kosovo status issue featured prominently on the agenda as the two diplomats met, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement. Titov reiterated Russia's well known position, underscoring that official Moscow urged such a solution that would observe the basic principles of international law and that would not violate the territorial integrity of Serbia. Titov is presently on a Balkan tour, which will last from October 18 to 24, with the main topic of his talks being the process of the resolution of the southern Serbian province's future status.
