Montenegrin club in racism controversy

The UEFA is investigating the incident and that of missile throwing during the match and potentially could come down hard on the Montenegrin team as they attempt to make a much-needed stand against racism in some problem countries.

Rangers match winner DaMarcus Beasley and Jean Claude Darcheville were subjected to racist abuse from the terraces during the match and the American demanded that action was taken after the contest.

However, Zeta director Valdo Šičević told The Sun, "I'd like to apologize to Rangers Football Club for what happened."

But also added,"The problem with racism is not a major incident.”

"These are the actions of a few individuals and is nothing to do with the football club."

Rangers won 3-0 aggregate to proceed to the next round of qualifications where they will meet Red Star Belgrade.
