K. Serb arrested on war crimes suspicion

Kosovo police and EULEX have arrested Zoran Kolic in the village of Dobrotin on suspicion of war crimes, says Gracanica Municipal President Bojan Stojanovic. The suspect is a member of the Independent Liberal Party (SLS) Main Board. The SLS is active in Serb enclaves south of the Ibar River, and takes part in the government in Pristina. K. Serb arrested on war crimes suspicion EULEX has announced that a person had been arrested in connection with the investigation into a war crime that was committed in May 1999. KPS Spokesman Baki Kelani has stated that the arrested person is suspected of war crimes, murder and inhuman treatment of civilians in 1999. The Gracanica municipal president pointed out that he had spoken to representatives of many Kosovo institutions and informed them about the arrest but that nobody knew anything about Kolic’s case. He also added that he had hired an attorney who would represent the suspect and that he expected to get more information about the case from him.
