A protected witness in the 1999 Podujevo massacre case said today that he saw four paramilitaries holding civilians at gunpoint. The witness testified that he saw one of the accused Skorpioni (Scorpions) members Dragan Medic cock his riffle at the scene of the murders, in the family home of the ethnic Albanian family Gasi home in the Kosovo town of Podujevo. The indictment charges four members of the unit for the murder of 19 civilians, including women and children. MUP's command immediately after learning about the killings withdrew the paramilitaries from Kosovo.
