The "Topcider" murder case has been sent to the U.S. to undergo further forensic examination. After an FBI ballistics investigation failed to determine whether soldiers Dragan Jakovljevic and Drazen Milovanovic had been murdered, it was decided several months ago that the Americans find a forensics specialist to give a final opinion on the deaths of the soldiers, daily Blic reports. "Topcider" case in further investigation According to the daily, the case has been given to Doctor Dragicevic who started working on the so-called Topcider case—after the name of the barracks where the bodies of the two men were found—in April. The daily’s source states that the investigation may be complete in two months’ time. No-one at the Belgrade District Court wished to comment for Blic as to why the case remained unsolved four years on. Soldiers Drazen Mladenovic and Dragan Jakovljevic were shot on October 5, 2004, on the grounds of the Topcider Barracks in Belgrade under hitherto unexplained circumstances. According to the Army’s version, the soldiers shot each other during a fight, while an independent commission concluded that they were killed by a third party.
