Six Red Star FC fans were stabbed, and another was severely beaten in Thessaloniki today, reports say. The northern Greek town is hosting a UEFA Cup League match between the Belgrade-based club and local Aris. Red Star fans stabbed in Greece Hospital officials say that none of the Red Star fans sustained life threatening injuries. Some 1,000 Serbians are expected for the game this evening. They are currently held at the Macedonian border by the Greek police, which fear unrest and look determined not to let them in the country any sooner than they need to arrive in Thessaloniki for the start of the game.
