Key interest rate cut to 9.5 pct
The Monetary Board of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has decided to reduce the reference interest rate from 10 to 9.5 percent.

The Monetary Board of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has decided to reduce the reference interest rate from 10 to 9.5 percent. The decision was announced on Tuesday in Belgrade and the central bank said it came after the current economic trends were taken into consideration. Key interest rate cut to 9.5 pct The key policy rate cut will come into effect on Tuesday. The decision will be explained by NBS Governor Radovan Jelasic during his news conference later in the day. Previously, the reference interest rate was reduced from 11 to 10 percent, whereas at the beginning of the year, it stood at 17.75 percent.
