Belgrade hosts the largest international gathering in the history of Serbia:More than 140 countries are coming

On that occasion, it will gather delegations from more than 140 countries from all continents - from Europe to Asia, Africa, Latin America and the far Pacific.With more than 350 high-ranking officials, including ministers, state secretaries, then directors of key national institutions, as well as ambassadors of those countries - IPM represents the largest international and diplomatic gathering ever held in Serbia.&quot;Thanks to hosting EXPO 2027, we got the opportunity to host the largest international gathering of state delegations ever, which clearly confirms Serbia&#39;s growing international reputation,&quot; said the director of EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade Du&scaron;an Borovčanin.According to Borovčanin, this major international meeting (IPM) in Belgrade is not only an organizational step in the preparations for EXPO 2027, but also shows Serbia&#39;s readiness to host the world.This meeting will bring together representatives who in their countries lead key policies in the fields of foreign trade, economic development, sports, tourism, culture, innovation, education and youth, as well as representatives of international organizations such as the United Nations and FIBA Belgrade.IPM is a key opportunity for delegations to familiarize themselves with the EXPO 2027 theme and concept, master plan, construction phases, logistics and operations, as well as digital platforms for participants.&quot;When it comes to EXPO 2027, 112 countries have confirmed their participation so far. This is truly an unprecedented response in just a few months since the invitation to the countries was officially sent. EXPO 2027 Belgrade has officially become the fastest filled Expo in history,&quot; said director Borovčanin.The specialized exhibition EXPO 2027 Belgrade will be held from May 15 to August 15, 2027 and will last a total of 93 days. It will be the first international exhibition in the Western Balkans and the largest global event that Serbia has ever organized.The theme of the exhibition is &quot;Game(s) for Humanity: Sports and Music for All&quot;, with three sub-themes: The Power of Games, Let&#39;s Play Together and Game(s) for Progress. This theme highlights the values of universality, cooperation, creativity and development through play - and due to its inclusivity, it was the key reason for Serbia&#39;s victory in the competition of cities from Spain, Thailand, Argentina and the USA.The site of EXPO 2027 will cover 25 hectares and will include three program units. It will be the first EXPO in history with 100% planned use of heritage - all facilities and infrastructure will have a specific function even after the exhibition, thus Serbia sets the gold standard of sustainability and smart planning.
