"It's time for Volodymyr Zelensky to leave"

Musk shared a post by another user on the social media platform X, claiming that Zelensky has no intention of ending the war until Russia is defeated.

The post also alleges that the Ukrainian president fears the end of the conflict and the prospect of facing presidential elections, as he could face an investigation or even criminal prosecution if he loses.

“And so the slaughter continues... It’s time for Zelensky to go,” Musk wrote in a comment on the post.

Kyiv concerned about US support

Ukraine accused Washington this week of helping Moscow, stating that Kyiv had not been warned about impending missile attacks and that changes to a system developed by Musk’s company, SpaceX, had made it more difficult for the Ukrainian military to respond.

The Ukrainian military relies on satellite communication systems to maintain communications on the front lines, and restrictions on their use have raised further concerns in Kyiv.

Musk previously stated that all restrictions on the speed or manner of using his company SpaceX’s Starshield system had been imposed by the US armed forces, with the final decision made by US President Donald Trump.

He also emphasized that there is a distinction between the Starshield system, which Ukraine relies on for battlefield communications, and the civilian Starlink satellite system. Kyiv also uses Starlink, but it is not permitted to use the system for offensive military operations.
