"I'm not speculating. I know - The use of nuclear weapons is being considered"

In a post on the social media platform X, Greene claimed that the use of nuclear weapons against Iran was “being discussed in strategy meetings,” stressing that she was not speculating but claimed to know that such discussions were taking place.

“It’s real. I’m not speculating, I know. And it’s pure evil,” Greene wrote.

The former congresswoman also recalled the last use of nuclear weapons in history, when the United States dropped atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945.

She said around 110,000 people were killed immediately in the attacks, while the total number of deaths had reached roughly 214,000 by the end of 1945 as a result of severe burns and trauma. Greene also warned of the long-term effects of radiation, including illness and increased rates of cancer.

Greene provided no evidence to substantiate her claim, and the White House had not immediately responded to requests for comment.

At the same time, she accused Israel of repeatedly claiming that Iran was “only a few weeks” away from developing a nuclear weapon.

According to her claims, the U.S. nevertheless launched attacks, during which, she said, Iranian leaders and children at a school were killed. Iran then responded by taking control of the Strait of Hormuz and putting pressure on countries in the region. 

The former Republican congresswoman specifically warned about the possibility of lowering the threshold for the use of nuclear weapons, saying such a move could trigger a wider global conflict.

“Trump promised there would be no more foreign wars, but he could be the one who brings about a nuclear holocaust,” Greene wrote. 

According to her assessment, possible use of nuclear weapons against Iran could lead to an expansion of the conflict, a major economic crisis and mass casualties.

“Do not use nuclear weapons. Stop this war immediately,” Greene said.

Her claims come amid heightened tensions between the United States and Iran. However, there has been no public confirmation so far that the Trump administration has made a decision or adopted a plan to use nuclear weapons against Iran.
