The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that several U.S. service members were killed in a missile attack on the Al Azraq Air Base in eastern Jordan and that three F-35 fighter jets were destroyed.

In a statement published by the IRGC’s official outlet, Sepah News, it was said that IRGC Aerospace Force units launched multiple ballistic missiles at the deployment area and maintenance hangars for U.S. F-35 fighter jets at Al Azraq Air Base.

According to the IRGC’s claims, three F-35 aircraft were completely destroyed in the attack, while three others were damaged.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated that the attack was carried out in response to recent U.S. strikes on Iran’s Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz, in which three members of one family, including a child, were killed.

In mid-July, three U.S. soldiers were killed in an Iranian attack on the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in southern Jordan.

Chaos in Kuwait as well

The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Thursday that an attack on the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait set fire to and destroyed two drone hangars and a fuel tank used by military aircraft and helicopters.

In its statement, the IRGC said that the attack was part of its “Nasr 2” operation and described it as retaliation for what it called U.S. aggression.

The IRGC also said that operations against U.S. forces in the region would continue until American troops leave the Middle East, urging the people of Kuwait to understand that its campaign is directed against what it described as “American occupation.”
