Iranian armed forces are now better equipped than before and fully prepared for all contingencies, the spokesperson of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hossein Mohebbi, said today, claiming that Iran’s military will respond to a “return of the enemy” and “military aggression” with a different operational approach.
“If the enemy returns to the military arena, the nature of operations, the geography of the battlefield, and even the types of weapons used will be different,” Mohebbi said, as reported by Press TV.
According to him, Iran used the ceasefire period to strengthen its military readiness and repair damage. “The reality is that during the ceasefire our military and operational capabilities have increased,” Mohebbi said. He added that Iran now has direct battlefield experience, not just intelligence assessments and media reports.
“Today our understanding of the enemy, its offensive and defensive equipment, its deception tactics, and the nature of its operations is much clearer than before,” he said, noting that Iranian forces now have a more precise understanding of air defense systems, operational bases, and combat tactics of opposing forces.
He rejected claims that Iran’s naval power has been weakened, describing sustained control over the Strait of Hormuz as a “symbol of IRGC power.” According to him, the United States was unable to affect Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz during the latest conflict, despite deploying “extensive military capabilities.”
