What's in Iran's latest proposal to end the war?; Trump has agreed
The United States has shown flexibility in the ongoing peace negotiations, including on the issue of Iran’s nuclear activities, Reuters reported today, citing an unnamed senior Iranian official.
According to the official, the United States agreed to unfreeze a quarter of Iran’s assets, although Iran had insisted that all assets be released.
He stated that Iran’s revised proposal calls for a permanent end to the war, the lifting of sanctions on Iran, and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
“We will address Tehran’s nuclear issues in later stages,” the source said.
Earlier, the Tasnim news agency, citing sources within Iran’s negotiating team, reported that the United States had allegedly agreed to lift sanctions on Iranian oil exports during the negotiation period.
