The President of the United States, Donald Trump, said from the Oval Office that his administration had prevented a nuclear conflict with Iran.

Masoud Pezeshkian: “We will not surrender”

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Iran did not start the war with the United States and Israel, emphasizing that defending the country from attacks is Tehran’s “natural right.” He added that launching wars of conquest is a “medieval act in the 21st century.”

“Peace and stability in the region cannot be achieved while the Zionist-American invasion of our country is ignored. The Islamic Republic of Iran will not surrender to aggressors,” Pezeshkian said, as reported by Al Jazeera.

He added that Tehran expects the international community to condemn the invasion and persuade, as he put it, the attackers to respect international law.

“Talks about ending the war make no sense until we are certain there will be no new attacks on our territory in the future,” the Iranian president said, adding that the use of American military bases in the region against Iran—aimed at undermining Tehran’s relations with neighboring countries—should be stopped.

Operations at Shah Gas Field in UAE Halted After Drone Attack

Operations at the Shah gas field in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have been suspended while damage from a drone attack is being assessed, the Abu Dhabi Media Office said today.

In a statement published on X, it was reported that the fire that broke out at the gas field following the drone attack has been brought under control. The statement emphasized that there were no injuries in the attack.

The Shah field is one of the largest of its kind in the world and is located 180 kilometers southwest of Abu Dhabi, Reuters reported.

Daily oil production in the UAE has been reduced by more than half as the conflict with Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz forced state oil giant ADNOC to suspend production, two sources told Reuters.

Oil loading operations at the Port of Fujairah in the UAE, a key export terminal, have been halted twice in recent days following drone attacks.
