Shock plan by Europe and the U.S.: 12 points to end the war in Ukraine

According to reports, implementation of the proposed plan would be overseen by a peace committee chaired by U.S. President Donald Trump.

European leaders today urged Washington to remain firm in its call for an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine, with current front lines serving as the basis for all future talks.

Under the proposal, Ukraine would receive security guarantees, funds for war damage reconstruction, and a fast-track path to joining the European Union. The plan envisions that once both sides agree to a ceasefire and commit to halting territorial advances, all deported children would be returned to Ukraine and prisoners exchanged.

Both sides would then begin negotiations on the administration of the occupied territories, although neither Europe nor Ukraine would legally recognize any occupied land as Russian, the report adds.
