The wings of the red windmill atop the Moulin Rouge, Paris' most famous cabaret club, fell to the ground overnight, a club spokesman said.
The wings of the red windmill atop the Moulin Rouge, Paris' most famous cabaret club, fell to the ground overnight, a club spokesman said.
"We don't know exactly what happened. The wings fell between 2:00 and 3:00 in the morning. No one was injured," said the club's spokesperson. The incident happened after the club closed.
The cabaret’s distinctive red sails ripped off the letters “MOU” as they fell.
The fire brigade said there was no risk of further collapse and that the reason for the accident was not yet known.
