The messages from Moscow and Washington are the same; Trump: It's all bullshit VIDEO

Only a day of difference separates the two messages coming from Washington and Moscow - both are almost identical - Europe is to blame for the continuation of the war in Ukraine.

The American portal Axios announced on Saturday that frustration with European allies is growing in the White House.

According to that portal, high-ranking American officials believe that their European colleagues publicly support the peace efforts of President Donald Trump, while undermining them behind the scenes.

Namely, American officials, as reported by Index, claim that it is Europe that encourages Ukraine to "endure and wait for a better agreement", which, they say, prolongs the war.

"The Europeans cannot prolong this war and secretly push unrealistic expectations while expecting America to bear the cost," a senior White House official told Axios.

"If Europe wants to escalate this war, it will be their decision. But then they will helplessly snatch defeat from the jaws of victory," said the same official, adding: "An agreement is reached through the art of the possible. But some Europeans still live in a fairyland, ignoring the fact that it takes two to tango."

Axios also reports that the White House is asking the Europeans to impose new sanctions on Russia, including a complete suspension of Russian oil and gas purchases and secondary tariffs on India and China.

Trump: It's all bullshit

Trump, after meetings with Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, insisted that the next step is a direct meeting between Putin and Zelensky. Moscow refuses for now, while Kyiv has said that it does not want to discuss territorial concessions without Russian consent to negotiations.

"Everybody's pretending. It's all a dream," said a frustrated Trump at a cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

The White House, therefore, makes it clear that it does not see the blame for the absence of the peace process in Russia - the country that started the total invasion and which continues to attack Ukraine every day - but in the European allies.

Peskov: Europeans are sabotaging the peace process

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also made a statement on Sunday while Vladimir Putin was visiting China.

It sounds almost identical to the message from Washington.

"The European 'war party' does not give up its main message. They do not calm down. This is in sharp contrast, for example, with the approach of our President Putin, but also of the American President Trump, whose efforts to direct the process in a peaceful direction are difficult to overestimate - we are grateful for those efforts," said Peskov.

"However, the Europeans are obstructing it. The Europeans are sabotaging the process and in every way helping and probably encouraging the Kyiv regime in its completely absurd persistence and intransigence. It is a big mistake, a very big mistake," said Peskov.

He added that Russia is "ready to solve the problem by political and diplomatic means, but since we do not see reciprocity from Kyiv, we are continuing the special military operation".

When asked if he thinks that the Europeans are deliberately trying to disrupt the Russian-American dialogue, Peskov answered: "No, not deliberately. They have long ago - historically - set themselves the goal of hindering the Russian Federation in every possible way. This is a long-term trend. And we know how to oppose it."

The importance of message matching

It is significant that the accusations of the White House and the Kremlin match, the gap between them is only one day.

In both versions, it is Europe that is prolonging the war, and both Washington and Moscow claim that their leaders - Trump and Putin - sincerely stand for peace.

These statements come after Trump hosted Putin in Alaska in a meeting that he called "historic", but from which no concrete agreement emerged.

Meanwhile, the war continues, Russia continues to carry out daily airstrikes on Ukrainian cities, and Kyiv retaliates with strikes on Russian refineries.

However, the White House now publicly blames not Russia, but the European allies, while Moscow claims that they are sabotaging the peace process, which in reality - does not exist.
