As reported by the Hungarian news agency MTI, Orbán said in an online show called "Fight Hour" that he expected this outcome in advance, given that the American president is a "heavyweight", unlike the president of the European Commission, who is a "lightweight".

The position of the American president was much more stable, while the position of the president of the Commission has always been more fragile, added Orbán.

The Hungarian Prime Minister also said that he believes that the problem is that, in accordance with the agreement, the Europeans will invest several hundred billion euros in the USA.

"But who will do it?" Orbán asked, adding that the European Commission does not have capital for investments.

"On whose behalf did she agree? Will the German chancellor take the money there, or will the French president or the Hungarian prime minister send capital?" Orbán asked.

He also said that "supposedly weapons worth several hundred billion euros should be purchased". "But who will do that? Well, the Commission doesn't have an army," added Orbán.

He reminded that the USA concluded a similar agreement with the United Kingdom, which is, however, "much better than this".

In the end, he concluded that because the EU deal was "much worse" than the deal with the UK, it would be difficult to present it as a success in the future.
