Zelensky: 15 people injured in Russian attack on Ukraine

A total of 15 people, including a child, were injured in a Russian attack on several Ukrainian regions last night, with energy infrastructure particularly badly hit, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

He said on Telegram that the main attacks were in Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Odessa regions, Ukrinform reported. Zelensky said that all the injured had been taken to hospitals.

He called for the rapid restoration of electricity supplies, especially in Kryvyi Rih, where power is expected to be fully restored during the day.

Ukrainian forces, according to information shared by the president, have been successful in intercepting a significant number of attacks.

Massive attacks on Kryvy Rih

In the combined Russian attack on Kryvyi Rih, a 17-year-old boy was seriously injured, an industrial enterprise was destroyed, and part of the city was left without electricity, the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, said.

"This has never happened before. A ballistic missile and 28 Shahed drones at the same time. An industrial enterprise was destroyed. Thank God, there were no casualties, the personnel were in shelters," Vilkul said, Ukrinform reports.

Electricity supply to several parts of the city is currently suspended, while water supply is maintained by generators.

Vilkul added that several small fires have also broken out, which are currently being localized.
