The American president is spending the last day of his Middle East tour today in the United Arab Emirates, where he spoke at a meeting of the business community.

Kremlin: Discussion is necessary

The meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States of America, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, is necessary, as a serious discussion is needed on international issues, including the Ukrainian crisis, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"Such a meeting is certainly necessary, first of all from the point of view of bilateral Russian-American relations, and from the point of view of talking about a serious discussion at the highest level about international affairs and regional processes, including, of course, the crisis over Ukraine," said Peskov, answering a journalist's question about Trump's statement regarding a possible meeting with Putin, reports the Russian news agency RIA Novosti.
