Riots in New York; Protesters clashed
New York City Mayor Eric Adams said police are investigating a series of incidents that erupted during clashes between pro-Palestinian protesters and pro-Israel counter-protests in the city.

An attack on two women on Thursday by supporters of Israel was also reported.
Adams said one woman was injured in Brooklyn and another was threatened for protesting against Israel, Reuters reported.
He said that the police are working to identify those connected to these attacks and that one person has been arrested.
He pointed out that there is no place for hatred in New York.
The New York Times reported that in one of those incidents, hundreds of men surrounded a woman, hurling racist and sexist insults at her.
The demonstrations were held during a visit by Israel's Minister of National Security, the far-right Itamar Ben-Gvir.
Ben-Gvir also faced protests during a recent visit to Yale and on Sunday, when protesters and counter-protesters clashed near a New York synagogue where he was expected to give a speech.
His speech was subsequently cancelled, the New York newspaper reported.
