The occupation began; There are dead
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced today a significant expansion of the military operation in Gaza and said that large areas of the Palestinian enclave will be occupied and added to Israel's security zones.
He said in a statement that there will be a large-scale evacuation of the population from the area of combat operations, reports Reuters.
Katz called on the citizens of Gaza to overthrow Hamas and return the Israeli hostages, stressing that this is the only way to end the war.
Attacks carried out, there are dead
At least 21 people have been killed in Israeli strikes across Gaza since this morning, medical sources said.
One of the most serious attacks was the attack on a house in Khan Younis, in the south of Gaza, where at least 12 Palestinians were killed, writes Al Jazeera.
Those people were killed in the attack in the northeast of Rafah, where the Israeli army said it was carrying out a large-scale offensive to capture "large areas".
