Trump and Zelensky sign the agreement; President of Ukraine arrives in the USA

"I hear that he (Zelensky) is coming on Friday. Certainly, it's fine with me if he wants to. And he would like to sign it together with me. And I understand that it's a big deal, a very big deal," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, "The Guardian" reports.

According to information from the media, Kyiv and Washington reached an agreement after the US gave up its demand to receive the entire income from the extraction of rare earth minerals in Ukraine, the value of which is estimated at 500 billion dollars.

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Olha Stefanishyna told Ukrinform that the negotiations between the Ukrainian and American teams are in the final stage and that almost all key details of the mineral agreement have been agreed upon.

Zelensky emphasized that the agreement must include clear US security guarantees and pointed out that Ukraine wants to be an equal partner, not a debtor.
